More Stuff! Green Living
Posted March 31st, 2009 by admin

What is the Story of Stuff?
From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.
Thought this illustration in my sketchbook fit in w/ the film clip!
I will be listing a 16x20" Florida Landscape w/ a starting bid of $49. on eBay April 3rd.

Florida Landscape Painting - COWs
Posted March 3rd, 2009 by admin
All this cleaning out has motivated my muse so I've stopped to paint a bit. This scene was inspired by SR 70 near Myakka Florida.I want to paint the cows so bad...they look so serene lounging around under the humongus swooping oak branches. Well, these are faraway cows....I'm working on close up cows, it's a work in progress 4 a while now.

Oil Paintings
Posted January 31st, 2009 by admin

Reducing prices on oil paintings. These are from 2003 when I first began painting and trying out all the different mediums.....I am a very MESSY oil painter, plus they take months to dry/cure, so I don't do large oils any longer. (just miniatures because it is so much fun to smoosh creamy oil paints around!)
Anyway, they R listed at eBay for 3 days and then I will put them in my Etsy store, http://WildPelican.Etsy.com at the same low starting price if they are still available.
There will be a total of 12 oil paintings.
Procrastination & The Muse

Ok, all this digging around trying to organize is not working...WOW! I forgot about all these canvas'! Poor things, they are all white, the muse is too strong, OK, I give up, I will stop cleaning! I am wanting to add to my "CORAL FISH" series....these take me a while, but I will post them as I finish....sorry, this one is not available, a travel agent owns it. How fitting!

New Years resolution: try not to procrastinate. noticed I left the door open w/ 'try' :) Last year, I was supposed to clean out the studio, for a little constuction project w/o getting debris all over my work.....ah yea, well that never came to pass.....so am listing back (2003up) works at ebay and
http://WildPelican.Etsy.com ........
Here's a WIP work in progress that was inspired by a homeless man making/selling palm frond roses at the Orlando Art Farm I was at. He was kind enough to teach me and gave me a bouquet of three! He is originally from Ft. Peirce, used to mount fish & work on the boats in earlier times.
the 2nd pic is a sample of the miniature paintings I have on ebay/etsy.

Santa Makes His Rounds

This is a work in progress. Always planning to paint an Old Florida Christmas every year, I am commiting myself on this blog and will video the process to show when it is completed!
So far I have rough sketched my vision, though it may change as I go along....
I've been sculpting Studio art beads. Here's one of them. So much fun to play with clay! These are all clay, no paints just different colors of clay! The holes are vertical. These will be listed at WildPelican.Etsy.com (there's a link on my blog).
